1 Oct 2026 · I'm so glad you're here

Welcome!

This corner of Harborlight Yoga is where you'll find thoughts that often begin in practice and continue long after class ends. Yoga is, after all, more than what happens on our mats.

You’ll find reflections on movement, breath, meditation, and the ways that we can meet ourselves and others with more patience in ordinary moments.

Some posts will be practical and simple, others a little more personal - each written from the heart. You'll find that I wear my heart on my sleeve, but I think it's better to be an open book that one that just sits on the shelf 😉

I'm grateful that you found my website. I love connecting with other yogis, whether virtually or in person, so feel free to send me your thoughts on my blogs or anything else you feel like sharing!

Yoga Sutra 1.12 says that through devoted practice (abhyāsa) and non-attachment (vairāgya) we can still the fluctuations of the mind. Or as Nischala Joy Devi says in The Secret Power of Yoga, practicing these together are necessary to reunite us with our True Self.

Read more about this philosophy and the way I found myself practicing it off of the mat on my Substack.
